Psychological creative youth center (PCYC)
The PCYC was established on 07 July 1997. This is a non-government organisation, rendering services free of charge for teenagers and young people. The centre was named by its establisher, actress Rimanta Vaičekonytë and psychologist Loreta Dieliautienë, who united their activity domains in their work with young people. Psychology and creation has a lot in common and ideally supplement each other, striving for common objectives. As predecessor of PCYC is the club “Svajoklis”, which worked in Điauliai children’s clinics for four years and was managed by Loreta Dieliautienë. Therefore, the first volunteers of the PCYC were also the club members and their friends. Since September 1997, psychological and creative activities take place in the center. Moreover, the programme of psychological assistance of coevals on the telephone “Jaunimo linija” (“Young people’s line”) was implemented in the very beginning. In 1998 a Day Center for teenagers was established. Today 10 specialists, such as artists, psychologists and pedagogues work in the PCYC.

Children’s aesthetic development studio “SVAJOKLIAI”

Children draw, sing, play musical instruments and are involved in drama activities. Quite often children, adults and professional artists take part in the projects. Musical performances, such as “Drugelis Angelas” (“Angel Butterfly”), “Gëliř sapnai” (“Flower dreams”), “Virđ skambančio vandens” (“Jungling over water”), “Debesř piemuo” (“Clouds shepherd”), were created in the children’s aesthetic development studio “Svajokliai”. The music was composed by the composer G. Dapkevičius.
Điauliai University chamber orchestra and the holistic music group “Vartai” co-operate with the children of the studio.
